Experiential Events Complement Social Promotion of MVP Campaign

Working with Media Logic, MVP Health Care is sponsoring The Ultimate Game Changer contest, an opportunity for community members in New York and Vermont to win $1,000 and meet big name athletes like soccer champ Abby Wambach and lacrosse legend Gary Gait. While the campaign will be supported with some traditional advertising, the primary vehicle for promoting it will be social — but not just social media! We’re using experiential social events to add to awareness and build excitement and interest.

For example, MVP hosted Olympic night at an August game of the Tri-City Valleycats, a popular minor league baseball team right here in New York’s Capital Region, and when gold medalist Abby Wambach returned to her hometown of Rochester, MVP was there to honor her. Both events promoted the Game Changer contest — and both events spiked visits on the contest landing page and lead to actual sign-ups.

The contest aims to find The Ultimate Game Changer, who will be selected from nominations of kids (age 13+), parents, coaches, teachers, grandparents and anyone making a positive difference in New York and Vermont. It celebrates people who inspire, those who go above and beyond and those who help make communities healthier places to live.
