Integrated campaign embraces positivity for Child Health Plus plans.

Child Health Plus is a health insurance plan for kids and teens sponsored by the State of New York. While the program and plan design remain essentially identical across carriers, regional health insurer MVP Health Care felt they could bring more to the table. They were looking to raise awareness of the MVP Child Health Plus plan availability and MVP value proposition.

Media Logic and MVP landed on a fun, fresh approach based on the notion that “every kid deserves super health care” – modified slightly to “every kid deserves awesome health care” for the pre-teen/teen audience.

The bright, colorful campaign included TV, radio, out-of-home, print, paid search, paid social, and a dedicated landing page (with incorporated video). We also developed a new Child Health Plus-only shopping experience on the MVP main site to help people better understand eligibility and the costs for child-only coverage.

The end result was an integrated, upbeat effort that made a strong case for MVP while helping to overcome some of the stigma that can be associated with government-sponsored programs.

Caregiver Support: A Strategy Worthy of Payer Attention

Caregivers are not only valuable contributors to the health care system, but they can also influence member shopping decisions on Medicare and other plans, and they are payer members and patients themselves. While the current trend toward value-based care emphasizes patient centricity, it stands to reason that payers that also develop and communicate benefits which support caregivers will improve outcomes all the way around. Understanding the caregiver landscape and their unmet needs is key to informing strategies to address them.

HC Insights - Population Health Management as a Differentiator

Population Health Management as a Health Plan Differentiator for Medicare Advantage

It's well known that the Medicare Advantage market has becoming increasingly crowded. During this past AEP, Medicare shoppers had, on average, 39 MA plans from which to choose – an all-time high — so it's more important than ever for payers to find ways to stand out. We believe that one of those ways should include better merchandising and promotion of population health management programs.
